This is my fifth story.

I went to a nice family restaurant! Raracost

I didn’t know what the family restaurant means. I just thought that means restaurant that sells steak and pasta (Italian food). Why we call like that? I was wondering. So I searched the meaning in the internet dictionary. It said ‘an eating establishment that serves relatively simple food at reasonable prices, and welcomes children as well as adults’. I found that family restaurant can sells other types of food not just Italian food. I used to be confused, but now I know clearly.

The place I will introduce today is Raracost. Rara Coast is one of Korea’s most popular family restaurants, and it is working on developing menus that all the people would like, providing beverages and coffee, kid zone facilities, and store design optimized for convenience of use. It has 120 branches across the country. It also develops 100 kinds of menus every year. I think itis working hard without a break. I like this restaurant because we can enjoy such hearty dishes at reasonable price. I think this company is great one that continues to develop.

I first knew this restaurant last year. And I often visited there because I thought it is delicious and nice. But there is no Raracost in Suwon where I live, so I visited the Jungang branch near our University. It was located on the second floor of the building next to the Megabox at Jungang Station. There is a lovely neon sign! And there is a menu board that you can choose or see the menu outside. I visited here on May 1st, Labor Day with my boyfriend. There were many people because it was a day off.

It has a very spacious and clean interior. One wall is made of window so you could eat outside or watch people passing by. I used to sit by the window when I visited before, but it was full of window seats on that day, so I sat down at the normal table. It was not bad.

After I was guided to the table, We got a menu board. It was the same one at the entrance. This restaurant has a really thick menu book because there are so many different menus.

This restaurant gives a self-order paper with a menu board. This seems to be a good way to minimize misinterpreting or mistaking the menu. You have to write the menu number, menu name, quantity, and spicy level control to order here. Then let’s see what kinds of menus there are.

The menu is similar to other family restaurants, with Italian food. There were salad, steak or cutlet, pasta, pizza, risotto or pilaf. I was surprised once again at the various menus. In particular pastawas really diverse by type of sauce, and pizza was also really diverse, including spoon pizza, square pizza and round pizza.And April’s event menu was also introduced. But we didn‘t eat this one. Cherry Blossom Cream Pasta… Hmm… I think this is a wired menu. 😅😅

These are the dishes we ordered. We ordered a mild-tasting porksteak, seafood risotto, and a spoon bacon potato pizza. It is hard to go to another Italian restaurant because the price is too expensive, but here is okay to order three menu items.

After we order with the order paper, we received plates and napkins with the Raracostra logo on it. The logo is cute and neat. I like that.

And at the corner of the table, there is a way to get a discount through Kakao Talk. If you add Rara Cost to Kakao Talk Plus friend, we can receive a 10 percent discount coupon. So we made a Plus friend of it right away. Hehe.

And we went to get drinks. The characteristic of here is that wecan enjoy a service with unlimited drinks and coffee. I like this restaurant because I eat a lot of drinks when I eat. You can even enjoy coffee for free after your meal. But I don’t like cofee very much, so I didn’t drink that. There are many different kinds of soft drinks. I chose coke. Next to the beverage corner is a self-bar that can bring more side dishes such as pickles.

There is also a playroom where children can play to match the name Family Restaurant. I remembered when I was a kid, I played in the playroom with my brother while other family restaurants served food.

And one of the reasons why this restaurant was good was that the bathroom was inside the store and clean. I have bad memory that I didn’t want to go to other restaurants because the bathroom was so dirty. But this place was not, so I could go to the bathroom comfortably.

Finally the dishes were served. Risotto was the first to come out. We couldn’t stand it and ate a little, so the risotto in the picturelooks not good. We excited because the food looked really delicious! But we were disappointed because the food was not warm enough. I think it was because there were many people that day. Last time I came here, it wasn’t like this. But it was still delicious. The risotto and the steak were delicious. And the spoon pizza that I ate for the first time was great. It is pizza that can eat with a spoon. It contains full of cheese without bread. But I was sad to cool down quickly. 😭😭

The price was 32,900 won. It’s not a bad price for an Italian restaurant. We even got a 10 percent discount coupon through Kakao Talk so we could have this nice meal for 29,600 won!

Next to the checkout counter, they sell beaded ice cream like this. I like them, especially banana chocolate taste! However, I was too full to eat on this day. I’ll buy it for a dessert next time.

Raracost seems to be a good restaurant where you can enjoy Italian food at a reasonable price. I recommend you to visit this restaurant.

Now my last restaurant review is over. It wasn’t easy to write reviews like this once a week, but it was fun. 😃😃
